Schedulers, there is an ongoing email conversation for 19U teams with Middleville, Kentwood, Hopkins, Three Rivers, and St. Joseph. I am NOT making a pairing for this division. Please work on your own to schedule this division.
Important Information about Area 8J Scheduling
We ask that regions do NOT schedule games with other Area 8J regions themselves. This only complicates the process and creates conflicts for other regions.
We ask that you keep Out of Area games to a minimum. If there ends up being an even number of teams in a division and a team is playing out of area, there are now an odd number of teams in that division for that week. However, if there are an odd number of teams for a division and there are out of area games then bye weeks will be unevenly distributed. We need to know about all Out of Area games by the submission deadline. Send those to Jason at jholzhausen@middlevilleayso.org.
All 12U and 14U teams need to participate.
Regions may submit 10U teams for area scheduling with the approval of the Area Director.
The Process
Regions will submit their team count for each division. Remember, any coed teams will play in the boys divisions.
Regions will verify their field information.
A pairing only schedule (team v team & date) will be created and distributed.
This pairing will be made with respect to geography as much as possible. If a division has few teams then more travel may be needed for that division to provide a variety of teams to play against.
An Area Schedulers meeting will be hosted in Middleville where regions will coordinate to select the home team and times for each pairing.
Regions submit game details for ALL GAMES, both home and away.
Regions will submit Coach Names, Emails, Phone Numbers for each team.
This allows opposing coaches to directly contact each other each week to verify that they expect to be in the same place at the same time for their game.
The Master Schedule Sheet will then be built and distributed.
Region Team Information Form
This form is for each region to submit their information for the current scheduling season. Yes, if this is a spring season please submit all information even if your team counts/coaches haven't changed. This is how we'll make sure we are all on the same page.
The deadline to submit this form is Saturday, March 16. I need this information in order to create the pairing schedule.
Pairing Sheets
I have created a page for each region in each division that only shows your games. Paper copies of these sheets will be at the meeting. There are pdfs of each division. You can find yours and print, but I'll have copies at the meeting.

Coach Information
It is important that every team comes with the Name, Email Address, an Phone Number for their Head Coach. This way each week a coach can communicate with their opposing coach to verify that they will be in the same place at the same time.
In Middleville we have always asked our coaches to make this contact by Wednesday each week. This way if there is a discrepancy it can be worked out before Saturday morning. There is nothing worse than showing up to an empty field.
Game Submission Form
Use this form to submit game details. It is very important to have this correct.
Submit ALL GAMES. Both Home and Away games. This is the first check for discrepancies. If two regions submit different information for the same game I can get it worked out well before the game.
Changes
Use this form to submit any changes to submitted games or locations that need to be updated on the Master Schedule Sheet
Master Schedule Sheet
The Master Schedule Sheet will be shared with each region which should share it with every travel coach. This will be the document that has every schedule, coach contact information, and field location. It is important to submit correct information as that is what other regions and coaches will see.
